Why I founded Tiro

Hello there, I'm Andries Clinckaert, one of the co-founders behind Tiro.health. My journey began in the world of medicine, specializing in prostate cancer research. It was during this time that I encountered the real challenges clinicians face in managing data and administrative tasks, igniting my passion for change. With a deep understanding of healthcare and a shared commitment to simplifying data management, we founded Tiro.health, a platform designed to empower clinicians. Our aim? To allow healthcare professionals to focus on delivering exceptional patient care.

My Passion

Outside of the healthcare realm, you'll often find me hitting the pavement for a run, carving down ski slopes, pedaling through scenic routes, or simply enjoying quality time with friends. Whether it's the thrill of adventure or the joys of socializing, life is all about balance. At Tiro.health, our vision is to make a positive impact on healthcare data management, and I'm excited about the journey ahead.

Why I founded Tiro

Hi, nice to meet you! You must be wondering how I ended up here? Surprisingly, it all began at a surf camp in 2011, where I first crossed paths with Andries. Our friendship flourished in our favorite student pubs in Leuven, where Axel could be found as well. Besides these social events, I also pursued a master’s degree in Business Engineering, during which I uncovered my passion for transforming complex data and turning it into insights that fuel change and innovation. And that’s precisely what I’m doing at Tiro.health. In a nutshell, I ‘Write it, cut it, paste it, save it, load it, check it, quick – rewrite it.’

My Passion

When I’m not working my data magic at Tiro, I don’t mind the occasional break to go hiking in the mountains, sailing in the North Sea, or cherishing time with friends to balance the hours spent at my laptop keyboard, crafting code.It has been an exciting adventure thus far with this wonderful team, and I can’t wait to pursue our ongoing mission to enhance healthcare by leveraging the power of (structured ) data.

Why I founded Tiro

Hey there, I’m Axel Vanraes, the third musketeer in the Tiro.health trio! I used to be knee-deep in circuits and currents, studying electrical engineering at the University of Leuven. Little did I know, this is where fate would introduce me to Andries and Charlotte, my partners-in-data-crime.
Data has been a thread in my career. It’s not just about numbers and spreadsheets for me; it’s about weaving stories and painting pictures with them. I’ve crunched energy data and dabbled in the manufacturing stats, but let me tell you, there’s no industry in greater need for coherent data tales than healthcare.
Now, let’s talk about my sacred workspace: the sofa. That’s right, my trusty cushioned command center where ideas flow and keyboards clatter. It’s where the magic happens, and where my data dreams take shape.

My Passion

But, of course, life isn’t all about laptops and dataframes. When I unplug, you’ll find me in pubs, music events, you name it. And if the wind’s right, catch me by the waves, windsurfing like a pro.
So here’s to Tiro.health, where we’re not just crunching numbers; we’re revolutionizing healthcare with a whole lot of heart, data, and a splash of adventure. Let’s ride this data wave all the way to better healthcare! 🌊💡

Our hero’s story

Marcus Tullius Tiro

Marcus Tullius Tiro, once a slave and later freed by Cicero, played a pivotal role in preserving Cicero's legacy. He not only adopted Cicero's name but also served as a trusted confidant, frequently mentioned in Cicero's letters. Following Cicero's death, Tiro published his master's collected works of letters and speeches. Tiro's own accomplishments included pioneering an early form of shorthand, highlighting his ingenuity and contributions to literature and innovation.
