Meet the team behind tiro.health
We're a dedicated group of healthcare professionals, data scientists, and engineers committed to transforming clinical documentation into valuable structured data.
Our company benefits from the strategic guidance of experienced healthcare and technology leaders who share our vision for transforming clinical documentation.
From clinical burden to healthcare transformation
The documentation burden
Our journey to founding Tiro.health began during Andries' medical career, specializing in prostate cancer research at UZ Leuven. We were struck by the immense documentation burden that pulled clinicians away from patient care. Every day, doctors are spending hours recording information instead of focusing on the people who needed their expertise. Additionally, data is captured in an unstructured formate, which makes it unaccessible for research and requires endless hours of manual chart review

Trapped insights
What started as frustration evolved into an opportunity when we noticed how many critical insights remained locked in unstructured clinical notes – data that could potentially transform patient care if properly structured and accessible. We saw firsthand how valuable research opportunities were being missed because the data existed but couldn't be efficiently analyzed.
A better way forward
Working with patients taught us the true cost of administrative inefficiency: less time for meaningful patient interactions and delayed insights that could improve outcomes. This became the driving force behind Tiro.health. We assembled our team with Charlotte's data expertise and Axel's software engineering vision to tackle a problem that affected healthcare at its core.
Every hour we save a clinician from documentation is an hour returned to patient care. Every data point we structure is potential knowledge that can advance medical science.

By providing intuitive and efficient tools, we empower clinicians, data scientists, and developers to streamline workflows, ensure data quality, and drive evidence-based decision-making. The smartest way.
